- 죄란 무엇인가? : 레비나스와 도스토예프스키 - 그 타자성의 문제와 인류애를 중심으로 - -
인간의 죄란 무엇인가? 이 글은 여기에 주제를 두고 인간의 죄와 죄의식, 죄와 벌, 정의 등의 문제와 관련해서 그것들에 대 한 철학적ㆍ문학적 성찰의 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 그 결과 죄 의 발생과 그 연관성을 타자성의 관점에서 논의하고자 하며 타 인의 죄에 대한 주체의 책임과 인류애의 관점에서 정의, 속죄, 용서 등의 의미에 대해서도 살펴보고자 한다. 레비나스와 도스토 예프스키는 그와 같은 주제 탐구에 대한 적절한 예시를 보여주 고 있다. 전자는 그의 타자 철학에서 타자성에 의해 초래되는 타 인에의 무한 책임, 모두가 그의 고통을 인내해야 하는 사랑과 용 서의 메시지를 제시하는데 여기서 타인을 위한 정의론을 발견할 수 있다. 후자는 그의 작품에서 구원과 용서의 방법이 죄에 대한 양심의 가책, 그 고통의 단서를 통해 열려 있다는 인륜적 방식을 선택하고 있으며 여기서 그의 정의론을 이해할 수 있다. 레비나 스와 도스토예프스키는 인류애의 보편적 실천과 그 회복에서 죄 에 근본적으로 대처하는 새로운 사회적 정의를 제시하려고 하지 않았을까?
What is sin? : Lévinas and Dostoevsky - Focusing on the problem of otherness and the humanity -
What is human sin? This article aims to present a method of philosophical and literary reflection on issues such as human sin and guilt, guilt and punishment, and justice. As a result, we will discuss the occurrence of sin and its connection from the perspective of otherness, and also examine the meaning of justice, atonement, and forgiveness from the perspective of the subject's responsibility for the sins of others and humanity. Lévinas and Dostoevsky provide appropriate examples of such topic exploration. The former, in the philosophy of the other, presents a message of infinite responsibility for others brought about by otherness, love and forgiveness in which everyone must endure their pain, and here we can find a theory of justice for others. In his works, the latter chooses a humanistic approach in which the method of salvation and forgiveness is opened through remorse for sin and the clues of its pain, and this is where his theory of justice can be understood. Didn't Lévinas and Dostoevsky try to present a new social justice that fundamentally deals with sin in the universal practice of humanity and its restoration?
